YOUTH MINISTRY

Youth Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.
- (Spring 2008 schedule)
Sixth, & Seventh Graders - Room 1 (downstairs). Chip Minty is the teacher. The Middle School Class will continue their study of the Bible using the Spice Rack curriculum.
Eighth Graders - Room 2 (downstairs). Confirmation Class is held for Middle School Youth entering the eighth grade. Confirmands will continue the year-long course until they are received by the Session and choose to be confirmed as members of the church in May. Sandy Minty is the Confirmation Teacher.
Ninth-Twelfth Graders - Rec Room (downstairs). We will begin a new study called Stubborn Hope. This PC(USA) curriculum explores heroes of the faith in the Book of Hebrews. The study draws on the example of Abraham and Sarah's, Jacob's,Joseph's, and Rehab's faith to see how Christians are called to demonstrate great faith and service to Christ in the world. Each lesson also draws on modern heroes of the Faith such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Diedrich Bonhoeffer, and Mother Theresa, whose faith enabled them to communicate and disclose Christ's care, justice, and compassion to the world. Associate Pastor for Youth Leigh Wisner teaches this class.
